PVAF Scholarship Program

Each year, PVAF awards scholarships to deserving students at Montgomery College and the University of Maryland who demonstrate exceptional dedication, talent, and promise in the field of architecture. These scholarships are supported in part by a matching grant from AIA and by donations to the Potomac Valley Architecture Foundation.

We are proud to celebrate this year’s outstanding architecture students who have been selected for the 2025 Potomac Valley Architecture Foundation (PVAF) Scholarship Program.

PVAF Scholarship Fund

The Potomac Valley Architecture Foundation Scholarship Fund was started in 1995, originally funded by an unencumbered bequest left by the estate of former member Bernard M. Frishman, AIA. Today, support for the Scholarship Fund comes from three sources:

  1. Our annual AIAPV/PVAF Golf Outing;
  2. The AIA Component Grant program; and
  3. Donations from AIAPV chapter members and others interested in building the future of the architecture profession by helping deserving students complete their education.

PVAF awards scholarships to deserving architecture students at Montgomery College and the University of Maryland. Awards are made annually based on funds available that year.

Your donations will help us continue and strengthen our support of the next generations of architects!
