Live Webinar with CADD Microsystems

Course Description

Revit is a powerful design and documentation tool that can greatly increase productivity for any design project, including those that contain existing buildings. In this session attendees will learn about best practices when using Revit for an existing building project. The lecture will cover specific ways to set up a project to best utilize this robust system and take advantage of its parametric and database capabilities to provide a whole building system that streamlines the documentation of existing building work. You will leave the seminar with a checklist of items and a roadmap on how to best utilize Revit for your next existing building project.

Learning Objectives

  1. After attending this presentation, participants will understand how to utilize existing resources (hand drawings, cad drawings, point clouds) in creating a Revit model for an existing building project.
  2. After attending this presentation, participants will understand the best practices of setting up an existing building model.
  3. After attending this presentation, participants will be able to utilize alternative and out-of-the-box methods for creating construction documents.
  4. After attending this presentation, participants will be able to speak intelligently with their consultants about collaborating in Revit on an existing building project.

[Provider has applied for AIA CES credits to be announced later.]
