AIA Continuing Education System
State MCE Requirements
AIA requirements can differ from mandatory continuing education requirements of state licensing boards. State requirements may also vary from state to state.
If you are a CES provider interested in offering a CES-approved program to AIA Potomac Valley members, please contact Executive Director Sue Presti for more information. You MUST be a Chapter Allied Member or Annual Partner to offer a Chapter-promoted CES program.
Educational Video Library
AIA Potomac Valley presents dozens of programs each year that are approved for credits through AIA/CES. Calendar listings for CES-approved events will indicate the number and type of credits available. AIA Potomac Valley reports credits for AIA members electronically, streamlining and shortening the process of getting the credits onto your transcripts and eliminating the need for a certificate. Non-AIA members may request a certificate to self-report their credits.
We record CES programs when possible and make them available online as a resource for those who attended to review a session for learnings they might have missed, and for those who could not attend to have the benefit of the information. Please note that watching these videos DOES NOT confer any AIA continuing education credits.
We continue to improve our capability to capture these important events, but the sound quality does vary depending on the room setup and the way the presenters interacted with attendees.
Original CES Programs
These are recordings of original CES programs either developed by AIA Potomac Valley or other AIA chapers and offered for viewing by AIA Potomac Valley for the benefit of architects across the region.
Please note: Live webinar attendees were eligible for AIA CEUs. At this time, AIA is not offering continuing education credit for viewing the recorded sessions.
