Allied Membership

Those with established professional reputations who are registered to practice their professions where such requirements exist, or persons who are employed outside of architectural practice but are involved in positions allied to the field of architecture may become an allied member of the Chapter.

Individual Allied members may include engineers, planners, landscape architects, sculptors, muralists, artists, and others in government, education, journalism, manufacturing, industry and/or other fields allied to architecture.

Allied Membership is a cost-effective way for a small business to create a level of visibility with AIA Potomac Valley members. Among the major benefits, Allied Members receive listings in our online website directories, and can submit their own events to our online calendar. Allied Members may also submit posts to our blog, which is a great way to share your company news and expertise with architects and other potential clients. Allied Membership is $300 annually, a small investment in building industry relationships.

Allied Membership is an included benefit at every level of Annual Partnership.

Allied Members will receive advance notification of opportunities to sponsor individual Chapter events, providing visibility during advance promotion and onsite at the event. Event sponsorship is a great way to target specific design audiences relevant to your product offerings. Recurring opportunities include our quarterly Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) programs (requires CRAN Annual Partnership), which are offered as part of a Capital Area tri-chapter initiative, and our annual Design Awards celebration. Single event sponsorship opportunities include Premier Social Event and Educational Program Sponsorship. Sponsorships for other events and programs may be offered as they are developed by Chapter committees. Costs vary by event, $300 -$5,000, and may include credit for Allied Membership already paid.
