High school students interested in making an impact through design and the built environment can learn about the profession of architecture at “Ever Think Of Becoming an Architect?,” a half-day workshop on Saturday, April 5th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The free workshop will be held on the Rockville Campus of Montgomery College and will include lunch as well as hands-on design activities, discussions with local architects, an Instagram competition and fun takeaways for all students to encourage their continued exploration of the profession. Students and their parents will also have the opportunity to get information about architecture education programs from a number of area colleges and universities.
The workshop will be presented by the Potomac Valley chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Potomac Valley Architecture Foundation to kick off the local observance of National Architecture Week. Registration is free, but capacity is limited. Please register for the wait list – due to high demand we are making plans for an afternoon session and will email you with details.
