High School Students Tour Local Firms

Three Richard Montgomery High School juniors will visit the offices of eight local firms this week as part of their exploration of potential careers in architecture. The firm tours were arranged as part of the Potomac Valley Architecture Foundation's high school outreach programs. Students (center, left to right) Delaney, Ally and Guilia, made their first stop at the office of Muse Architects, where they were hosted by Stephen Muse, FAIA (right). Additional firms participating are SK+I, Hickok Cole, BKV Group, Shalom Baranes, LSY, Bennet Frank McCarthy, and Torti Gallas. The program was arranged by PVAF board member Scott Knudson, AIA (left), and may be repeated with other small groups of students in the future. We look forward to positive feedback from the students and the firms!
