Recognizing “super volunteers” at the 2015 Annual Membership Meeting

The architects and allied professionals who volunteer with the AIA Potomac Valley Chapter recognize the value of sharing their skills and energy to help advance the profession in their community. They also benefit from networking opportunities with peers and mentors, and from the opportunity to represent the profession to the public.

Volunteer opportunities at AIA Potomac Valley

  • Spending two to three hours sharing your experience with architecture students at a mentoring event – several events are scheduled each year
  • Helping to organize a continuing education event on a topic you find interesting and valuable
  • Serving as a room monitor at DesignDC
  • Boosting the chapter’s social media presence by retweeting, “liking” and commenting on our posts
  • Designing a logo or graphics package for an event

If you can commit a few hours a month on an ongoing basis, find a committee to work with that suits your interests, or help us start one for a need that is not being covered. This is YOUR professional association – new ideas and people to lead them to fruition are always welcome!

Contact any member of the Board of Directors or Executive Director Renee Catacalos to volunteer.
